The day brought together Business Managers and administration colleagues for a full program of practical sessions, sector updates and valuable discussion.
A wide range of topics were covered, ensuring there was something relevant for everyone. Members heard updates on Stewart Johnson (SARDS) and e-signatures, providing useful information about current processes and digital efficiencies.
The psychosocial wellbeing session was also timely and important, encouraging attendees to consider how workplace wellbeing can be supported and strengthened within school environments.
The AEU update on the VGSA, presented by Chris Tricker and Stacey Doleman, gave members the opportunity to provide their voice and concerns in relation to the current AEU negotiations and to ask questions about matters impacting the current VGSA offer for school staff.
Donna Hanson’s Word and Excel tips and tricks workshop was a practical highlight, offering everyday strategies to help members work more efficiently and confidently with commonly used tools.
We were also fortunate to hear from Greg Hart and Wayne McKenna from the Tax Compliance Unit, who provided important guidance and reminders in relation to compliance responsibilities. The day concluded with an inspiring keynote presentation from Ash Atkinson (Riddell), AFLW North Melbourne premiership player, whose reflections on leadership, resilience, teamwork and high performance resonated strongly with attendees and was extremely engaging.
Thank you to Lori Lundberg, the Committee, organisers and attendees for contributing to such a valuable and engaging day. The success of these network events reinforces the strength of our professional community and the importance of continuing to learn from one another.
